What will my first visit be like?
Check-in – Please arrive ten minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for us to gather information about you. If you have downloaded the admission forms from our web site, please bring these completed forms and arrive at your scheduled time. Insurance cards and other items that will assist in proper billing should be presented at the front desk, as well.
Assessment – The therapist will review your health history and any notes or diagnostic reports you may have brought with you from your referring provider. The assessment will be a thorough evaluation of the biomechanics of the body. You will want to wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement (e.g. shorts and t-shirt). Tennis shoes are preferred.
Treatment – The therapist will guide you through activities that will be part of your treatment program. Detailed instructions for these will be provided to assist you in your successful repetition at home.
Guests – You are encouraged to bring a family member or friend to your first appointment.
Time – Your first appointment will take at least one hour, but you may want to plan for two. Follow up appointments are approximately one hour.
